Dorothy Sherman

Vocals and Flute

Dorothy sang in school and church choirs as a girl.

After her kids were grown, she decided that singing is what makes her happy.

She took a course music fundamentals, (where she learned how to write
songs,) "group vocals," (where one sings in front of an entire class and is
critiqued by her fellows,) music theory I, and classical guitar basics.

A few flute lessons taught her the scales, and having the nerve to
continually play in public got her beyond being described as a "dire"
player.

She sang backup for Annie Eidolon as half of a duo, and later Annie
recommended her to the rock band "Crying Backwards," where they both sang
for nearly 2 years.

Dorothy and Davy Shannon have been performing together in various
incarnations of ‘4Ever Erin’ since 2002. Dorothy's biggest fan, husband
Bill, has been there to encourage her, every step of the way.
