Dew, Megan, Davy and others; It is with sadness that I write to let you know that Lynette was removed from life support late yesterday. Tests performed on Joey also showed no brain activity at all. As of late Sunday night, they were giving his biological father, Steve Smith, time to arrive and spend some time with Joey before disconnecting his life support.

Since learning of the situation on Friday morning, we've all been going through a lot of emotional and psychological stress. A myriad of thoughts, reflections and memories are flooding our hearts and minds. Questions about both the circumstances and Lynette's family's welfare and what will happen "next" may be consuming our energies. I hope we can share some of those thoughts and conclusions with one another shortly.

I do have some unconfirmed details that I will share as soon as I can be assured that what I am passing along is factual. Lynette, Joey and Ron's SGI friends have been gathering continuously to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo to blanket them and their family with love, support and determination for inspiring realizations to blossom in our lives as come to grips this reality and think of Lynette and Joey - the kindness they always bestowed on those around them, their warmth, talent and joyful spirit to continue, regardless of the circumstances. I have no reason to believe that they would deviate from that path, even now, when they are not physically with us.

I will send out family adresses soon, in case you want to send cards. I will let you know about any arrangements for their Memorial Ceremony or other related gatherings.
